Help! Is there some kind of appliance to help an older man aim?

I see that other people have similar problems. The person I care for is an older, obese man with lots of health issues and he can't aim his urinary flow at all anymore. We've put down towels in the bathroom, and that helps in there. Of course I have to wash out lots more towels more often, but that's not impossible. The big problem is that he uses the kitchen trash barrel, especially when he has his pants on (not just pajamas) and he doesn't want to leak all over his pants. I'm at my wits' end with the smell and carrying down heavy loads to the garbage all the time. I'm doubling up bags and putting in shredded newspapers to avoid the bags leaking - it's like having a new puppy, only way bigger and nowhere near as cute. Does anyone know if there's some kind of thing that helps men aim? Like a big funnel or something? It doesn't help matters that our landlord put in a very low toilet years ago. He uses a plastic booster seat for defecating, but he won't sit to urinate and it probably wouldn't work because of his size. He doesn't need adult diapers, and I certainly am not ready to change them - if it ever gets to that point, he needs more help than I can give him at home, that's for sure. He got one of those bottles to go in when he was hospitalized, but he can't use that by himself (can't see himself down there, for one thing), so whatever he would use to aim would have to be quite a bit bigger at the input end of it, and not rough or scratchy like the hospital bottle. Anybody know of anything like I'm suggesting, or even what it would be called in order to search for it? I've had more than I can take, and of course I have to be able to take everything and do everything without complaining!
