Dad's guardian called me and told me I could not visit him anymore unless she is present. What can I do?

He's in Florida, we drove down from Texas in a panic when we found out my father had been in a nursing home for almost month,,noone contacted us..We are staying in his home w his permission..making some repairs and cleaning it up..we went to visit him tonight and was stopped by the adminsitrator..she called a number and this lady told us she had an emergency guardianship..I had to leave his home and I could not see my dad unless she is present..I am so worried about my father her keeping me from my dad..Hes going to think I abandoned him. This lady was cruel

Why did he have an emergency guardian appointed? She is probably trying to protect him and look after his best interests. If she knows nothing of you, she can't simply assume you have his best interests at heart. She has to be cautious -- that is her job.

Try not to make an enemy of her while getting this all sorted out.

She is his guardian, so you do have to follow her rules. What a terrible situation. I wonder what could be going on. I hope you find out soon.
