Dear Kason, I think the logical step would be to contact either her doctor for a script requesting a nursing evaluation or Medicare and get an in-home assessment of her situation and her needs. The nursing service can also send out a social worker to advise you of all services and program beneefits she may qualify for. If she is financially eligible she could qualify for Medicaid as well. If her husband was a veteran (even if deceased), the VA is another valuable resource.
