Mom won't do any thing but stay in bed she wont get up for anything. what to do?

Could you tell us a little more about your mother? Does she have any health problems other than staying in bed? Does she have home health care coming in? Is she bathing or toileting herself? Was she asked to leave the alf because she wouldn't get out of bed? Is her condition bad enough that she needs a nh? It is difficult to answer the question without a lot more information.

Has she been diagnosed with depression and/or other physical conditions? Does she get up to go to the bathroom? Is she ambulatory? Does she have a cane? Wheelchair? Walker? I imagine that being bed bounds has made her weak. Can you get hospice involved? What about a physical therapist?
