Can anyone recommend a place to find plastic underpants for someone who is semi-incontinent?

Hi Virtual, when my dad became semi-incontinent 9 months ago, I bought him underwear with built-in protection that were washable and reusable. They look just like regular Jockey-type briefs with a fly opening, and they worked great for occasional accidents. Does your dad have any dementia issues? I ask this because my dad was mid- to late-stage Alzheimer's and would not know how to pee if the underwear didn't have a fly opening, i.e., he could not comprehend, or be instructed to pull down his pants and underwear and sit when he only had to pee.

The washable underwear is expensive (1 pr = one lg box of Depends), but they fit better, are more comfortable and draw moisture away from skin.

You could try adult diapers rather than plastic underpants. I know CVS, Walmart and most grocery stores carry Depends. I am sure they have other brands as well. Because your dad is only having accidents every once in a while he would probably be less resistant to trying something like Depends underwear. They pull on and off just like normal underpants and look just the same as well. So it wont feel like such a blow to his ego.
