Has anyone ever placed their father in a nursing home that has a VA contract? If so how much do they pay per month?

My dad is now in a rehab center after having a CVA a week ago. We fear that he is going to be long term. Has anyone had any dealings with placing their father or mother in a healthcare facility that accepts VA patients. he is 100% Disabled veteran. Or has anyone received the Aid and Assistance thru the VA and how long did it take to receive it? Thanks for any input.
