My husband is falling a lot and having trouble standing. He's in an Alzheimer's facility.

My husband seems to have reached the late stage of the disease. He is falling and hitting his head. He is wimpering and shouting. I don't know what to do for him. The facility has suggested a "sitter". What is this?

No. The nurse said last night that he probably wouldn't be able to use a walker. I'm now thinking of looking into a wheelchair. But I'm also wondering if I should think about a nursing home instead of the Alzheimer's facility.

Sounds like they're suggesting someone who will "sit" with him and make sure he doesn't get up or walk without assistance. Does he use a walker?
