Do elders' toes get flaccid?

88yr old mom's toes need a couple toe spacers now. She tucks them in before she puts on shoes when going out on brief shopping trips. No diabetes.

"Flaccid" toes are not normal for an elderly person, however, the toes and feet need daily stimulation of which your mother can do for herself or a caregiver can rub the feet and toes. Get a book from the library on reflexology to target the toes area. Keep the toes warm with cotton socks and cotton or wool slippers. Thank the toes and feet every day for all the work they have done over 88 years and be thankful there is no diabetes.
