Do I have any legal options to remove my nephew?

We recently lost my father. my mother is being taken advantage of by my nephew who is a criminal. I don't have power of attorney or any legal rights to the house I grew up in. He is stealing and abusive and currently on trial for domestic battery. Do I have any legal options to remove him. My mother won't.
