LTC ins nursing home only policy. Mother is in a RCTE and will soon run out of money. My Mother qualifies for the insurance benefit, but the residential home (6 residents) does not. We bought the policy 17 years ago and are still paying the premium. What can I do to have the insurance pay for Mother's monthly rent? I have contacted the insurance company, the broker, and read the policy. Can the policy be changed or converted?

You may have to move her to an "approved facility".
