The folks here have a lot of experience and if you give more information you will get lots of help.

You need to give more information on this before anyone can give you help. What's the communication problem? I notice on your profile your dad has a hearing problem, but you don't say to what extent or how long he's had it.

A few days ago, I read on this site somewhere about a woman who put together a book of pictures of different items (foods, drinks, toilet, bath, tv, etc etc) and also, as I recall, a magnet/bulletin board with small cutouts. When her parent needed something and couldn't remember or pronounce the work, she could point at the picture.

In your father's case, you could probably just have the words cut out instead of the pictures. Why do you have trouble understanding him? Is he slurring words from a stroke or is something else the problem.

Please provide a lot more specific info, and you'll get more responses.
