If you are caring for you parent or relative, could you tell me of any of your steps/things, tips or efforts that helped make it work?

Allaboutfamily, It would help immensely if we knew a little more about the person you are caring for. Age? Any major medical issues? How indpendent is your relative? Are they oriented or confused? Do they need 24 hr care or just supervision or something inbetween? Do they live alone? With you? In an assisted living facility? Tell us your story and you'll be amazed at how much help you can get here.

This site will help you very greatly-there are many vetern caregivers here mostly grown children taking care of parents also a few caring for spouses as I was until this summer when my husband died . It is so good to be able to share experiences and help each other I come back here a lot because I made such great friends and hope my experiences will help others, sometimes we just need to vent and put down our thoughts-that alone can be important
