how to deal with the equipment used after death?

my father has recently passed, and I want to know how do I go about dealing with the remaining medical equipment that was purchased for his care. Most of the equipment is brand new and due to his rapid decline in health after recently purchasing the equipment was never used. The equipment I am speaking of is a brand new Hoyer Lift with sling from Invacare, a brand new Power Scooter from the Scooter Store and a 4 year old Reclinable Wheel Chair with full accessories from Invacare. All the equipment was fully paid for and I have no use for them now. Anyone with any advice, please help! Thank you.

Senior centers are a great source. One close to us charges $25 regardless of the item. They have a storage building that has used beds, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. Churches, Home Health agencies and doctors might also know of people in need.

I would first check with the fire department in your town some towns will store the equipment and then lend to someone who has need for those things or if you have a senior center you could put up a note to sell the equipment that is how we got a power chair abd a recliner that raised up to help a person stand up we would not have been able to afford these things new and the people selling them gave us a break on the price we bought both at nursing homes from families who no longer needed them one even transported the power chair to our house for us. Some hospitals will lend equipment also that they have been given or put notes up in the post office or grocary store your equipment will make things much easier for someone else.
