Tips we learned from caring for our 96 year old dad...

Not a question- Want to help others by sharing what we’ve learned while caring for our dad but don’t know where to post.

Terrasil Cream - repairs bed sores faster than anything we’ve used. Use in conjunction with AD cream around perimeter of sores + Calmoseptine barrier cream over Terrasil.

Hormel line of microwaveable meals: ready in one minute, scrambled eggs, French toast, turkey and with dressing, roasted chicken and homestyle beef entrees. A God send for patients with dysphasia issues. We add mayo or milk to make even creamier. Nutritious, low sodium.

Magic Cups- discovered while dad was in the hospital. 4oz of nutrition in an ice cream cup. We zap in microwave for 30 seconds to make it easier to feed dad: wild berry, chocolate, vanilla, and orange cream. Perfect for those on nectar consistency diet.

Sherpa Gaitbelt - thicker and softer than those fiber/plastic woven things, easier on your loved ones skin.

All above items available on Amazon. Our caregivers love working with us!

To clarify, Dad is still with us. Thank you for your responses, one day at a time.
