The word "remember." Do you ever reflect on how often we use this word in our lexicon and how careful you have to be with its employ?

I’m not dealing with dementia in my family as of yet, but for years now I’ve quietly cringed anyway when people say “I’ll never forget the time......” I know it’s likely silly and overreacting, but I always quickly think of those with dementia, they thought they’d always remember the time too

I think it really depends on the situation the word is used in. Like, I never would have asked my mother why she couldn’t remember who I was. But I’d often say, “Remember when you were a little girl and you used to go to the farm for fresh eggs and cream and butter?”

Its like anything else. It’s not what you say, but how you say it, right?
