Bipolar mom who’s driving me crazy.

My mom is in a good mood but you can never know how long that will last. All of a sudden she is this mad person that says I never told her something and why do I treat her this way ...how do I deal with this? No there is no one else that can come to the house. Can’t walk, can’t see, painful but I am gaining weight and have fibro so I’m hurting too.

She might be acting too mean for you. Maybe you should see if someone else can help out. She might be mad because you keep calling her bipolar. Maybe you could try to act different with her. She might feel like she's being treated as a mental patient and she doesn't like it.

Call your local Area Agency on Aging. Get a needs assessment.

Mom has care needs. As noted above, you can't do this on your own." Mom won't allow"?

Why are her wishes/desires/ requirements greater than yours?

Who can't see, can't walk? With your health problem there is no way you can care for Mom. I have a friend with Fibro and stress is not good for her. She just got over a flair up. Mom needs more care than independent living can give her. I am assuming she is not taking her meds if her mood swings are so drastic. Call Office of Aging to see if there is an agency that can help with Mom. Mom has been BiPolar for a long time. You can't take what she says or does to heart. Stay away when she is having an episode. If you think she is a danger to herself or someone else, call the police. Tell them she needs a 72 hr Psych evaluation.
