Alzhiemer's bad days but suddenly one day has amazing memory and totally cognizant of those around him.

My husband was diagnosed with Alz 4 years ago. It went from mildly bad to worse and worse. But suddenly the other day when we visited him in a memory care facility, he seemed much better!! Not normal of course but much more aware of who we were and asking questions about what was currently going on. Is this a normal progression sometimes for Alz??

When someone with Alzheimer's has some lucid hours or a day it's a gift.

Any dementia has good days and bad days. Be thankful for the good ones when they happen. Maybe they changed him to medications that are more helpful. Ask the nurses.
