My Grandma had a stroke about a year ago. At this point, we know her condition is not going to improve and she will be bedridden permanently. I started taking sewing classes and asked my Grandma if I could make her anything. She said she wanted a bib. At first I thought this was kind of boring, no matter how practical. But then the thought came to me that I would make a bib that didn't look like a bib. We take her out to meals and she often spills on herself and has to wear a dreary looking bib. I made her a bib that looks like a nice blouse, but still protects her from her food. Then, once she is done eating, she rolls it up into a pocket on the bib and her clothes are clean. She no longer feels uncomfortable in her bib when out in public. I also created a man's version as well.
