A friend reminded me that a Public Broadcasting Service program premiers in the U.S. today, May 7, at 10:00 p.m. eastern time. Called "Caring for Mom & Dad," the special is narrated by actor Meryl Streep and also will air on Mother's Day (Sunday) and Father's Day (June 21) at 7:00 p.m. eastern. Or, it can be viewed online
The show is underwritten for public television by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) which estimates that more than 42 million family caregivers serve in the U.S.
