91 yr-old mom's (w/AD) now in nursing home (10 days), not adjusting well.

While I don't feel guilty for placing her there, I'm extremely sad to see her in such a state. When she was in her home, she just sat in front of the window all day, lonely, bored, and often afraid (sundowning). She doesn't do well on anti-depressants, but dr ok'd anti-anxiety med as needed. I've heard she has occasional times of singing and dancing for the other residents, she "seems" to save her angry outbursts, swearing, crying, & despondency just for me! Not exactly wanting to go back, but of course I will...hoping to see a change soon. Am I alone in feeling this way?
