Does anyone use Medicare?

JoAnn29 Feb 6, 2026
Do you mean Medicaid?

Medicare is a health insurance that you can only receive if you have worked 40 qtrs (10 years) in the US. It goes hand in hand with Social Security that too you only get if you have worked in the US for 10 years. Its a Federal program.

Medicaid too is Federal but the States pay in to and handle the program. Medicaid covers health insurance, in home healthcare and Longterm care in a nursing facility. Your local Social Services Dept can help you with Medicaid.
