Can I get a girl of at least 50 years?

We are not an employment agency. You will have to look in your area.

Girl = female younger than 18 years.

Woman = female older than 18 years.

Age discrimination only applies over age 40. Technically, you’re free to say you prefer workers that age or older. You just can’t do the opposite.

In the US it is illegal to specify age requirements due to discrimination laws.

We had Mom under caregivers in her home. I always envisioned having middle aged to older caregivers. The reality is we had one that was 70 years old, one in her mid 60's but the rest were all in their 20's and low 30's.

Mom lived in one of the poorest counties in her state and those in their 50's and 60's are in poor health themselves.

The caregivers in their 20's all had good attitudes, all were hard workers, and all did a good job.

All of Mom's caregivers worked other jobs and many were also in college.

I had to let go of my goal of 50+ and simply be thankful for who wanted to work.

We can't specify age, as I understand U.S. law. We can have it in our minds and reject any person by making up some other legitimate reason they aren't suitable or just not stating the reason we're not hiring them. But age discrimination, nope.

Welcome to the Forum C3.
We need complete questions from you.

It reads to me that you are wishing to hire someone for help of some kind, and wish to hire a mature woman rather than a younger person.
You might consider calling agencies in your area or putting an ad on Care.com stipulating that you are more comfortable with mature women rather than younger people.

Whatever age person you prefer, you will need to be specific, of course regarding your needs.
I wish you best of luck.
