Are there a lot of Chinese people in this forum?

I would like to ask some Chinese people how they arrange for their relatives in their later years

Try posting a question about something specific, detailing your cultural concerns in the details. There are people of many ethnic backgrounds here that may face the same issues.

If you want to ask general (non-specifically Chinese related) questions about caregiving and talk about taking care of your relatives - this is an excellent forum to source advice. However, if you are looking for specifically Chinese people who can answer your questions - frankly - I couldn't tell you if we have a lot of Chinese people or none - because we usually only comment on countries of origin when we are talking about cultural differences in caregiving or laws and requirements pertaining to elder care in our home countries.

If you are looking to speak to Chinese people regarding planning for relatives when they are elderly due to cultural concerns - you may not find a lot of advice here and would want to seek out a more Chinese-focused forum or support group. If you are in the US and looking to speak to people about how it is handled in the US, there are a lot of resources here - though we may have different cultural leanings when it comes to elder care.

I suggest you try to find a Chinese-American attorney who specializes in US elder law in the state where your parents live. This is because in the US, once if your parents become cognitively impaired, you will not legally be able to act on their behalf unless you are their Power of Attorney or legal guardian. I don't know how this works if you are not a US citizen, beyond giving you this suggestion. Even adult children who are American citizens but who do not have legal authority to manage their impaired American parents' affairs have a very difficult time doing so.

If you can write Mandarin or Cantonese, I suggest you ask in those specific forums.
