Does it require for assistance living to do late night?

Our Resident is independent and , by time they eat dinner they are ready for down time.

Sorry, I don't understand your question. Are you saying that the AL has dinner, lets say, at 5? The resident eats and is ready for a nap after eating? I don't see where thats a problem. When we eat, the blood rushes to the stomach and for some, they get sleepy. Or is the resident actually going down for the night and then getting up early? The question I think your asking, is can the resident get a meal at a later time? That would be a question for the kitchen. I would say even if they could do this, the resident would have to pay for the inconvenience.

I would say that once kitchen staff serves the meal and cleans up, they are ready to go home. There would be no one to cook them a meal.

You do not indicate any conditions your Resident has.
My Husband would eat dinner at 5 and by 6:30 he was getting ready for bed and would be in bed by 7.
If your Resident needs more help then this should be discussed with management, the family and the Care Plan adjusted to accommodate the resident. If the Resident needs a higher level of care than what your Assisted Living can safely manage then the discussion should be what's next for this person.
