How much would in-home care cost me approximately twice a month? My husband has dementia. I'm his wife and caregiver. I'm tired.

He has a Medicare Advantage plan with care plus.

I used Care.com to find a caregiver for my parents in their home.

I posted a job on the site. Plus I looked through caregivers who posted their abilities and experiences, plus their references, which is always a good thing.

The minimum shift was four hours. The caregivers list their hourly rate.

I can understand your fatigue. It took some time for my parents to get used to the caregiver, but in the end it was a blessing for everyone. I hope you find what works for you.

We are not an agency just caregiver sharing our experiences.

Call your Medicare Advantage. Some will help with the cost of aides. Twice a month, though, maybe hard to find someone. Most aides want more hours. I was lucky that my daughters friend was willing to come 3x a week to bathe Mom. She was an aide on a school bus so after the morning shift, she came and bathed Mom.

If you pay yourself it would cost about $30 per hour with a 3 or 4 hour minimum.
