Can I get paid anything to care for my elderly mother with dementia?

I am currently living with my mother and moved from our of state to help care for her needs as her condition is not improving and I don't think it's going to get any better from here on out.

If she pays you, yes. Also, she should be paying her own bills.

You can see if Mom qualifies for "in home" care thru Medicaid. It goes by income. But, you will not make a lot of money.

Most caregivers end up broke after their caregiving journey . I Know Massachusetts Pays People But Not Much . It's Like Being a Mother - No one pays you .

It’s not going to get better, sadly, dementia only worsens. It’s kind of you to care for your mother, please also consider your own financial future and needs beyond the small amount you could get paid for this. You can search this site for the many times this question comes up and see the answers
