You call Social Services and talk to a Medicaid caseworker. Some States work with agencies to train a person to be a CNA (certified nurses aide). The person is then hired by the Agency and is allowed to care for a friend or LO.

You must fit the income requirement for this service.

Ask that question to whomever it is requiring your son to get certified in the first place.
