Need recommendations for elder care attorneys in the Houston area. Thank you

As a former legal assistant, here is what I have done:

1) My boss is an attorney and she recommended someone to me who I used for my mom. This elder law attorney worked at a large law firm with several lawyers working in many different areas of practice.

2) When I needed an elder law attorney for myself, mom's attorney recommended one to me who worked at a very small firm that exclusively does elder care law. I would typically not go this route without a recommendation, because you never know what you're gonna get. I have been very pleased with his work.

3) If you still aren't sure of who to choose, then I would go to a very large law firm and ask for an elder law attorney. You are in Houston, so you should have no problem at all finding a reputable firm. Check Google for star ratings. Be prepared to pay a significant amount for this work since it's a larger firm. That being said, the cost is worth it to make sure the documents are solid and written correctly.

You are down to researching through friends, word of mouth, NextDoor, recommendations from family or medical or simply looking on your computer for your own area.

We use Mayo and Poland in Baytown. I live an hour south of Houston and it’s been no problem to use them,

Sorry, as a international forum and most of us from all over the US we really can't give you this info unless one of the members is from Houston. Put your question into Google search.
