I've been searching endlessly to find details on how this drug helped extremely aggressive/combative behavior in dementia patients. It's such a mystery that after adding it to my husband's medication regimen, he has shown much improvement in short and long term memories including elimination of urinary incontinence. Of course, there are still telltale signs of LBD, but the total "reversal" is confounding. I've been advised that this drug may only last 2-3 years and will lose its efficacy without warning. Please share if you have had a positive experience with this drug.

And this was well before he was diagnosed with dementia.
Once diagnosed he had no reversals of any memory loss and his incontinence was so severe that he ended up having to get a supra pubic catheter.
So the only positive thing I can say about Depakote is that it(for the most part)kept his seizures at bay.
