Another visit to the ER.

My husband was confused and weak. Not drinking was told his potassium level's were low they gave him 2 bags of potassium and sent him home. Since we got home we still have the same issues we went in for. Will be contacting family Dr. today. Was irratated yesterday and throwing temper tantrums. He does have Alzhimers.

Stock up on Gatorade drinks and serve it constantly. I get totally bored with water, so substitute iced teas, iced coffee drinks, Gatorade drinks, fruit juices over ice. It all gets watered down but still tastes good.
A tumbler with lid and straw will encouraging sipping all day.

Keep his Doctor posted. Maybe some meds can help.

Yes, diuretics affected my Dads potassium levels. Actually put him in a depression. Once he started receiving the potassium regularly, he came out of the depression.

The changes in basic electrolytes can have a profound affect.
Do you know why the electrolytes are so drastically changed?
Does hubby have to take any daily diuretics?

Wishing you good luck.
