I need a cellphone without internet access for my wife. Any suggestions?

It should also have a camera and photo storage She can’t remember phone numbers so a contact list would also be a necessity. It should be easy to set up and to use. Unlimited talk and text would be nice. Does such a phone and plan exist? If so, what is the appropriate price of the phone and monthly fees?

As I had said on March 19th, technology sold today is like disposable trash for those corporate profits.

Don’t they think about those people on fixed incomes?? Maybe the State’s government offers free flip phone service but are unlikely expected quality service.

Boost Mobile $36.00/mo. f o r e v e r !
Returned Samsung, got I phone 1/2 from Amazon.

I Phone is said to be more 'intuitive'.
My tech dH set it up
I-Phone 14 Pro $580

I CAN use it!

I might not outlast the life of the cell phone, who knows.
Good advice Patahome.

Bigbear304: Jitterbug may have an option.

Several great suggestions! One down side is that phones last about three to four years and costing ongoing purchases. Unfortunately, that’s technology today, so I wish Good Luck!

Searching everywhere, not even able to sign up myself online for phone services, and unwilling to pay the huge monthly fees, nothing was working.

That was me.
Today I have a new android phone Samsung S25 Ultra 6.9 (I am worth it). Purchased unlocked on Amazon. It cost a whole lot.
Today I pay Boost Mobile one of their lowest monthly fees.

Not everything went well, and the process took 2 months, including a report to the CPUC to intervene so that ATT would give up the landline phone number.

Like cwillie said, it's capabilities can be whatever I choose.

Consumer Cellular sells flip phones for about $50 to $100 and has plan levels that are not contracts that may be changed any time.

Your best bets may be the Kyocera DuraXV Extreme (Verizon) or Alcatel Go Flip 4–camera, storage, and the ability to block or restrict internet access. Unlimited talk and text depends on the plan, not the phone.

Kyocera DuraXV Extreme:
Cost (phone) Around $240 - $300 new
Features: Rugged, camera, removable storage, optional internet restrictions.
Verizon’s basic unlimited talk and text plan for flip phones start around $30 - $40 per month (some depend on loyalty or paper free billing). Data is optional. You can block it.

Alcatel Go Flip 4
(AT&T, T-Mobile, or MVNOs)
Cost (phone) around $90 - $120 new (cheaper if bundled with a carrier)
Features: Basic flip phone, 2MP camera, microSD card slot, some internet capability (can usually block data)
Plan: T-Mobile/AT&T prepaid: About $25 - $35 per month for unlimited talk and text.
Tello or US Mobile: As low as $10 - $20 per month (if you want a cheaper MVNO plan with no data).

I hope this helps.

Look up Raz phones for seniors. Quite a few good things. Not connected to internet. And you can manage the phone through your own app. As well as has pictures for her dialing you up.
At some point any ability to use ANY phone is over. Until then there are quite a few options.

In the US, PureTalk now has a flip-phone, which I got for my developmentally disabled daughter. Also Club Cellular too.

Thank you for that information!

Look for kids phones with parental locks. In my country (Canada) there are also inexpensive phone plans that are just talk and text with no internet included (although WIFI is always an option if needed) - I'm currently paying $100 Cdn dollars for a year of unlimited talk and text, I provide my own phone so it's capabilities can be whatever I choose.
