Has anyone had any luck deducting mileage for taking LO to doctor appointments in their personal vehicle?

Mileagebis usually for business. It does seem you can get it for Medical but jot much, 21 cents a mile.

The standard mileage rates for 2025 are:
Self-employed and business: 70 cents/mile.

Charities: 14 cents/mile.

Medical: 21 cents/mile.

Moving (military only): 21 cents/mile.

GreenChile505, I tired doing that but it became a pain trying to keep track, and then later finding out via my CPA that it wasn't enough to make any difference in my income taxes.

Now, if you are driving like 30 miles each way for appointments due to location of such appointments, on a regular basis, then it might be worth it.
