Call the County office of Aging. County Social services.
Als are not cheap. Moms was 6k a month 7 years ago and going up. Medicaid rarely helps pay for them. In my State only after paying privately for 2 yrs at least. Then the AL has to except Medicaid and if so, not reached their % for Medicaid residents.
Call your local Council on Aging and tell them your situation and needs. Ask for what help and/or housing is available in your area. I wish you well in finding a place
Hi Donna, I read your profile, I am so sorry you are in this situation. Have you tried to get help from your local social services office? Has your son suggested what you should do? If you find yourself in a really bad situation, or fall again , don’t hesitate to call 911. Have them bring you to the hospital. Once you are there and have been treated, get a social worker at the hospital to help you.
