I'm a live in caregiver for my mom and her rent recently went up. What would you do?
I have to help her pay rent and it recently went up. I'm on medicare and SS disablity. I have to move and get help with the damage deposit and 1st months rent. But by paying her rent, I don't have any money saved. What are my options?
Then you cannot help with mom’s rent. You don’t have the money to do so, nor should you. It’s mom’s responsibility to provide for herself just as it is for us all. Call your local Council on Aging and discuss what help mom might be eligible to receive
