Switching places.

I am now the disabled one. Didn't expect to be trapped in a board and care over a knee infection, but I can't stand or walk. At wits end as partner's daughter is keeping us separated after 12 happy years. She won't even tell me where she is. To me it seems to border on elder abuse. Any legal remedy?

No there isn't.
Your daughter has chosen, apparently, not to stay in touch with you on her own.
Otherwise your daughter would BE in touch with you and would know what is happening with you.
Good luck on curing that infection and getting back up on your feet.
I wish you the best.

It's his partners daughter, not his daughter.

How awful for both of you! I think you should call an elder care attorney to find out your options, if any. Why would your partner not be calling you, do you think? Is she able to use the phone?

I'm sorry you find yourself in such a position and hope you're healed and out of there soon. Keep us posted. Good luck!

4 weeks of threats and witjholding location seems to overrule that

I'm Sorry for these circumstances. If you arent your partners PoA and your partner is cognitively impaired then you dont really have any power. Are you sure you are interpreting her motives and actions correctly? Maybe she isnt keeping you separated but just is now busy managing her that she doesnt have time to bring her visit?
