Any ideas what to use to keep shirts dry from drooling?

My husband has FTD and now has dysphagia. He has been drooling a lot lately. I don't know how many shirts he goes through daily. The SNF has Terry cloth shirt protectors, but he soaks through them into his shirt. I bought some plastic backed ones from Amazon, and they don't help much. Has anyone dealt with this and have any solutions?

You can get waterproof bibs on the internet. They have a sticky strip sobit sticks to clothing.

Sorry, if the waterproof ones aren't working I don't have any ideas other than to try a different brand. One thing I do want to say is that you might want to use a barrier cream like petroleum jelly or one of the zinc or silicone based diaper creams to protect his face from the constant moisture.
