My wife gets Peace Meals (from OSF) delivered every weekday. The meals cost them $9, but they only charge $4. They get external funding that makes up the difference. They have dieticians on staff so they're decent meals. It's really a blessing for me to not have to argue about what's for dinner.

I think what is available may be very specific to your area. I might consider asking at a local senior center if they have any suggestions and recommends. Special diets fully prepared with lots of limitations does cost a TON of money. Seniors eat so seldom and so little at times that it becomes a huge waste overall. Good luck on trying things out to see what works.
