Do I need to report an item on the asset list that is given to me by a consorvatee?
A relative is under the care of her brother and she wants to give me some items such as jewelry. Am I to report this to the conservatorship? What is on the no list? This is in Kansas.
The conservator should be keeping very good records. If they don't not have a list maybe they should get one. She could be giving away valuable jewery that could be sold and used for her care. If the conservator says no problem, you get him to sign off. You list wbat she has given you andvthe conservator signs that he is aware of the gift and has OKd it. The best thing thevrelative could do is leave the items to you in a codicle that will be attached to her Will if she has one.
