How can I get temporary care for two nights?

Geaton777 Oct 31, 2024
You can hire from an agency or Care.com but there is a process involved (they need a lot of detailed information from you about your LO). So, do not wait to need the temp care because they need to get the info, approve it and schedule it. Not many caregivers want to work so few hours...

You can always call a service like visiting angels or whatever is local to you in your area and ask for help they do 24 hrs overnight care ..

It would help a GREAT deal if you gave more information as to what type of care was needed. The condition of the person. Big difference between a "companion caregiver" and one that has to change a person that is bedbound.

You can contact an agency in your area and ask if they would provide a caregiver for 2 nights.
And is this just 2 nights, no days?
There are agencies that have caregivers that do just hourly work.
What care is needed? Is there medical care needed or is this "just watching", being there just in case?
You could contact your local Community College ask if they have a CNA certification program. If so you can ask the director if there are any students that would want to work a few hours. Give them the times they would be needed.

It might be a good idea if you had "usual" caregivers. Schedule a few days a week so that you and the person being cared for get a break.
