How do you keep a resident with dementia from roaming all day and night into other residents rooms and stealing from them?

Resident is in a assisted living facility and she walks from the time her feet hit the floor if and when we can get her to sleep, she's on Trazodone and Seroquel

Like already said this person is way beyond assisted living now and needs to be placed in memory care. I am very surprised that the good folks at the assisted living facility haven't already addressed this with the family.

You LO is passed an AL. I am surprised they have not told you that. ALs are usually a locked down facility. Also, they don't have the aides to watch ur LO. Its exactly what the name says it Assists. Ur LO needs Memory care or a nice Long-term care facility.

My mom was wondering at night and she started on Ativan and Seroquel. It helped her.

I’m so sorry that you are not seeing a positive change.

Drugs affect everyone differently. It’s trial and error until the right meds and doses are found.
