My wife has anxiety and worries about “the babies” all the time. Someone recommended CBD gummies. Any experience?

My wife (70, 3 years past Alzheimer’s diagnosis) has hallucinations and tells the non-existent people to get out of her room. She also worries about “the babies” that need our help. I reassure her we are taking care of them. I am looking for a better solution. A friend recommended CBD gummies.

I'd buy her a lifelike baby doll to care for. Many Dementia and Alzheimer's patients get a TON of joy out of caring for these "babies", you'd be surprised. Here's a link to a list of them on eBay:

My mother was obsessed about babies also when her dementia was advanced. Ativan .5mg did help her. CBD without THC did nothing to calm her down and her memory care AL did not allow THC products to be administered. I think the gummies ARE helpful to reduce agitation in general, if your wife's MC allows them. Fivecbd.com sells them online and ships all over the USA.

Best of luck to you.

I'm so sorry for her diagnosis and the distress it is causing you both.

Have you tried giving her a stuffed animal or doll so she can fret less about her "baby"? My Aunt's baby was a rainbow colored stuffed llama. It doesn't need to be realistic.

I agree with JoAnn29 about discussing meds for anxiety. She is not able to bring herself to a calm state and she can't process reason or logic, so meds are a good solution if the right ones in the right dosage and combination are found.

Also you profile says you're looking into AL for "when the time comes" but please understand she will probably need MC at that point. I wish you peace in your heart on this journey.

I moved her to MC in January. She has a stuffed cat, teddy bear and several colorful stuffed pillows (she made them 3 years ago). They have prescribed anti-anxiety meds but she continues to fret over these non existent babies. I am trying to make her life more settled. I recognize that this is also an attempt to make my life better as it makes me sad to see her fretting.

There is Medication for her hallucinations. I would ask her doctor about the gummies. With anything put in your body, we all react differently.
