Does the Medicaid waiver still pay the caregiver while the patient is in the hospital or rehab?

I have been running to the hospital for 2wks. Sitting at his bed side and helping keep the house in order. I've been doing more for him now then when he's home.

Can I clock in or not?

Not in Pa. As soon as they go to the hospital you have to call in and let them know.so they can stop paying you, until they come back home.

I too doubt it. No work, no pay. If you were paying an aide to care for him daily, would you want to pay them if husband was inbthe hospital for weeks? If so, it maybe because u don't want to lose them.

I doubt it. I am sure you are more busy now running back and forth, keeping eyes on him, maintaining the house, etc. However I'd be very surprised if Medicaid pays for you sitting at his bedside and keeping the house. He is being taken care of by the hospital as far as Medicaid is concerned.
