Are there exceptions for qualifying for Medicaid in Ohio if someone needs Memory Care right away? The Ohio limit is under $2,393.

Requested a State Hearing this month for my Mom, hoping to qualify her for Medicaid. Her monthly income is $2,420 which is 1/4 of the cost for a Memory Care Unit.

Have you looked into setting up a Miller Trust to keep her income under the Medicaid limit?

Google "Miller Trusts Ohio" and you'll get lots of good information.
