Has anyone found ways to help Korsakoff patients develop work arounds for short term memory loss and find peace with long term memory loss?

LO is mid sixties and wants to be more independent. She is now in AL and progressing physically but needs help with showering, taking her meds and finding her way to the dining room. Executive functioning still inhibited and she is very frustrated with her short term recall. She wants a more normal life and doesn’t want to live in AL the rest of her life. Her reasoning seems to be slowly coming back at times but it is spotty. Looking for tools, ideas and or specialists that can help her. Anyone out there have experience with WKS? How much functioning has your LO gained back. How did you help them?
