Is there anything I can do for my mom? She started hallucinating and talking to people that are not there. Please help.

Assuming your mother has Alz/dementia since you put this question under that category, hallucinations go with the territory once the condition advances. Speak to her doctor about the situation and see if s/he can prescribe medication to calm things down

We have to assume she hasn't been diagnosed with an illness that might cause her behavior. Therefore, you need to make an appointment with her physician ASAP - and be sure to tell them what's going on when you make the appt. Don't leave her alone. Could be dangerous for her.

NG, is your mother taking Ambien, or any drug that may cause hallucinations?   You can google the drug for more information.   Or search on "Ambien, hallucinations".

If this new behavior is "sudden" then pls take her to Urgent Care to discount the presence of a UTI, which often has no other symptoms in the elderly besides confusion, hallucinations and behavior/personality changes. Can be treated with antibiotics.

Take her to a doctor. I’m sure there’s medications that can be prescribed. However, if there has been a change in her medication, that might be the cause, so it’s really best to discuss these problems with her doctor.

By and large, it’s not a problem unless it coincides with her becoming agitated or prone to wandering.
