What is an appropriate Christmas bonus? Vacation pay for a caregiver?

We employ a lovely women who has been a daily caregiver to my mother in assisted living. She has been a godsend, and my mother with dementia responds well to her. She has been employed about 6 months now and we are wondering what is appropriate for paid vacation, Christmas bonus , small gifts?
We want her to know we appreciate her.!

I go with an extra weeks pay and maybe a small gift. At one of my jobs my boss gave us a weeks bonus and a wallet to put it in. Maybe if your a baker, you can give her a nice tin of cookies. If you knit or crochet, something handmade. Both to go with the bonus.
