How often is Plan of Care revised?

Mom moved into AL in June and 2 weeks later was sent to hospital for pain, diagnosed with terminal illness sent back with hospice care. We needed plan of care for additional agency hired to help through nights. The plan of care still lists escort to dining room, showers, grooming; none of the listed have actually been happening. Mom is actively dying and has been bed bound since. Hospice care took over all hands on care but actually administering comfort meds. Our bill has not changed.

I don't see why u should be hiring anyone. Mom pays for care in the AL. When Hospice is not there then the AL aides take over. Just a matter of checking in on Mom. Meds can be given by the RN or a Medtech.

The Hospice and AL RNs should be coordinating services. Remember, if you hire an aide, they are limited in what they can do. An RN will be expensive as will a LPN.

Have you contacted the director to get the services taken off?

Is this a place that chages a la carte for extras, or is it a flat fee rent?

I'm so sorry that your mom is so ill. ((((Hugs))))).
