Are there any programs available to assist veterans with in home care? I'm searching for my wife's parents. She takes care of them.

It's getting to be too much on her and stressing us both out. Fixed income and scared to put them in a state run nursing home; don't like any of them and we aren't ready to give up on them.

Contact your local VA office. If either of your wife’s parents is a war time veteran then they may qualify for aid & attendance which is a monthly payment they would receive from the VA & they can use the money to pay your wife. There’s another VA program that pays for a home health aide but it would be an outside caregiver). It’s for veterans that need help with their ADLs (activities of daily living). So again contact your local VA, they can determine what your in-laws are eligible for. good luck!
