Before you do this, I’d suggest that you try to see if she will tolerate wearing something on her head. Like buy an inexpensive headband with some sort of decor (so it has some weight) on it. Right now there’s Holiday headbands out for cheap. Will she obediently wear one? if not, well at least you can take a photo of mom wearing reindeer or Santa elf headband for Holiday cards to family.
We had them for mom, seems like they were cheapies advertised in Sunday's Parade section of the paper. Maybe $25.00? They worked fine but drove her crazy to have something on her head. Cheap experiment, that didn't work for her.
Maybe ear buds would have worked better. We didn't try that. Hearing aids would need to be removed whichever method you choose because of interference with the headphones and just would not work with buds at all. Have you tried calling the hearing aid seller to ask if there is something compatible?

I could not stand the television blaring any more and bought them. They are worth every penny!
I think they were around $100 at Best Buy.
