Options for a senior living at home who needs help bathing?

My Grandma is 102 years old and lives with my 80 year old aunt. Grandma has some mobility problems and is not physically able to bathe herself properly anymore. My aunt is not physically able to help her. Any ideas that don't involve her moving into a nursing home?

If you haven't already, see if Medicare will help pay for shower bars, a shower chair, a rubber mat and a handheld shower extender. When my dad was recovering from a brain bleed, these all helped him shower on his own once he had recovered enough. Good luck.

You could look at having a cna come in once or twice a week to give a bath. Some insurance will pay, if not it will be out of pocket.

The caretaker does upper body one day
lower body another
feet another time
His skin looks good now. Not dry and flaky
